Avez-vous d\u00e9j\u00e0 regard\u00e9 en arri\u00e8re avec des lunettes roses sur des situations qui n&#039;\u00e9taient pas id\u00e9ales ? C&#039;est un biais de soutien au choix qui entre en jeu.<\/p>\n<h2>Qu\u2019est-ce que le biais de soutien au choix ?<\/h2>\n<p>Le biais de soutien au choix est la tendance \u00e0 justifier les choix pass\u00e9s en se souvenant de mani\u00e8re s\u00e9lective des aspects positifs de ces derniers et en ignorant les aspects n\u00e9gatifs. Ce biais peut \u00eatre une arme \u00e0 double tranchant : s\u2019il peut nous donner confiance dans nos choix, il peut \u00e9galement nous emp\u00eacher d\u2019apprendre de nos erreurs et de prendre de meilleures d\u00e9cisions \u00e0 l\u2019avenir.<\/p>\n<h2>Pourquoi existe-t-il un biais de soutien au choix ?<\/h2>\n<p>Le biais de soutien au choix se produit parce que notre cerveau est programm\u00e9 pour rechercher la coh\u00e9rence dans nos croyances et nos actions. Lorsque nous faisons un choix, notre cerveau veut croire que c&#039;\u00e9tait le bon, il se souvient donc de mani\u00e8re s\u00e9lective des informations qui soutiennent cette croyance. De plus, admettre que nous avons fait une erreur peut \u00eatre difficile pour notre ego, nous avons donc tendance \u00e0 ignorer les aspects n\u00e9gatifs de nos choix afin d&#039;\u00e9viter d&#039;avoir l&#039;impression d&#039;avoir pris une mauvaise d\u00e9cision. <a href=\"https:\/\/pubsonline.informs.org\/doi\/abs\/10.1287\/mksc.4.3.199\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(Thaler, 1985)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Par exemple, une personne peut choisir de conserver une carte de cr\u00e9dit \u00e0 taux d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat \u00e9lev\u00e9 avec des frais annuels parce qu\u2019elle estime qu\u2019elle offre de meilleures r\u00e9compenses, m\u00eame si des donn\u00e9es montrent qu\u2019une carte sans frais avec un taux d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat plus bas pourrait lui faire \u00e9conomiser plus d\u2019argent \u00e0 long terme. Elle continue de soutenir sa d\u00e9cision de conserver la carte \u00e0 taux d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat \u00e9lev\u00e9 parce qu\u2019elle a d\u00e9j\u00e0 investi du temps et de l\u2019\u00e9nergie dans le programme de r\u00e9compenses et qu\u2019elle ressent un sentiment de fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 \u00e0 la marque.<\/p>\n<h2>Comment le biais de soutien au choix peut-il \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour am\u00e9liorer le bien-\u00eatre financier des clients ?<\/h2>\n<p>Bien que le biais de soutien au choix puisse sembler \u00eatre une mauvaise chose, les institutions financi\u00e8res peuvent l\u2019utiliser pour encourager les clients \u00e0 prendre de meilleures d\u00e9cisions financi\u00e8res. Elles peuvent notamment mettre en avant les aspects positifs des choix faits par les clients dans le pass\u00e9, tout en pr\u00e9sentant des choix alternatifs qui auraient pu \u00eatre encore meilleurs. Par exemple, une banque peut rappeler \u00e0 un client qu\u2019il a pris la bonne d\u00e9cision de commencer \u00e0 \u00e9pargner, mais aussi lui sugg\u00e9rer qu\u2019il aurait pu \u00e9conomiser encore plus en profitant de taux d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s sur certains comptes.<\/p>\n<p>Une autre fa\u00e7on de tirer parti du biais de soutien au choix consiste \u00e0 encourager les clients \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 leurs choix pass\u00e9s et \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer s\u2019ils correspondent \u00e0 leurs objectifs financiers actuels.
